Focus and Scope

The science to service Violence Research Digest is a quarterly publication of executive summaries of current research in the broad domain of interpersonal violence. The executive summaries are edited and reviewed by distinguished researchers and practicing professionals in the field.

Each article will summarize a research article published in a peer reviewed journal or a presentation from a national or international conference that employs a peer review selection process. Summaries include study rationale, methods, results and implications for evidence-based practice. Each summary will also contain a brief “Clinician Perspective,” consisting of a two-paragraph response by a practicing clinician or policy maker in the field. We will also occasionally publish a digest article that consists of a summary of a small number of studies (4-6) that are highly related.

Open Access Policy

This journal provides immediate open access to its content on the principle that making research freely available to the public supports a greater global exchange of knowledge.
